The fishing media, tackle manufacturers, and other anglers offer a basic understanding of fish species, their habitat requirements, and plenty of details on ways to catch them. Lures, tackle, and electronics are perceived as solutions, with an expectation that they will help anglers catch more and bigger fish. They work! But most anglers are unaware of internal barriers to their fishing success that cannot be resolved by over the counter innovation.
